STREAMS Conducts Scholarship Seminar and Symposium

To attain quality higher education, one has to go through roller coaster rides. It has now become a privilege rather than a right. But on the brighter side, there are also scholarships and programs that help the youth achieve quality education.

STREAMS Pathways to Higher Education does just that. The said student-led development program conducted a Scholarship Seminar on October 4, 2014 at the School of Business and Management (SBM) Building Room 604 Xavier University Main Campus. The purpose of the activity is to bridge scholarship giving bodies to the STREAMS participants. The said activity was composed of a symposium in the morning and a scholarship interview workshop in the afternoon.

Ms. Denise A Botavara, Sholarships Coordinator of Del Monte Philippines, Inc. (Bugo Cannery) and Atty. Panfilo I. Paracuelles, Human Resources Manager of Cagayan de Oro Electric Power, Corporation (CEPALCO) were the guest speakers for the morning’s symposium. Mr. Sean C. Sasing from the Guidance and Counseling Office of the university then gave the scholarship interview workshop in the afternoon. The scholarship interview workshop aims to readily prepare them in terms of proper conduct and necessary skills needed during interviews.
